I'm Jen, Owner of Bella Sunless. I've always been fair-skinned and throughout the years I have tried to achieve a tan look. I've never believed in a one-size-fits-all beauty standard, and I encourage everyone to love the skin they're in! However, one should never underestimate the power of a little pick-me-up ... like an airbrush tan!

 

In 2010 I was diagnosed with skin cancer. As a mother of five, it was a huge wake-up call. I was told at that time to stay away from UV tanning beds & take extra care in the sun. I still wanted a beautiful, bronze glow but could no longer risk exposure to the dangers of UV tanning. I tried various sunless tanning products - lotions, sprays, foams - but I was left disappointed with the results. My subsequent search led me to airbrush spray tanning.

 

I carefully selected the sunless solution I would use, and flew to my home state of Washington to train with the owners of JMT Sunless (formerly Jamaica Me Tan) in January of 2014. Upon my return to Iowa, I launched my business, Custom Airbrush Tanning by Jen in my first location (Grundy Center) and was fortunate to have great success. In 2015 my family moved to Jewell, IA and in 2016 we moved south to Ames. I am happy to offer this service in the heart of Story County.

Airbrush tanning provides the best of both worlds: health & beauty. Instant, natural-looking color can be achieved in ONE spray tan session, making it not only a safe alternative to UV tanning, but less time-consuming and extremely cost-effective.
